I totally did not cover the GACC tournament. What a waste!! I wish I went over today to see the final rounds but missed it.
Anyway tonight is the closing ceremony and I will be there. At least, I can get the results (hopefully) at the dinner. I’ll take pictures of the prize winners there too.
Opening ceremony of the ASEAN+ Youth Team Chess Championships. Florcencio Campomanes vs Edmund Santhara, The announcer mistakenly mentions it’s the “Caro-Kann Defense” but the opening moves were 1.d4 d5 2. c4 c6.
Lots of press people were there but a pity that the pictures did not appear in the local newspapers for this particular opening session.
