Justin Ong - Singapore Challengers 2007 Champion

Malaysian Justin Ong won the Singapore Challengers ahead of 62 Singaporeans and one point clear of his nearest rival.
Justin was only seeded 64 in the tournament and he started it with a first round loss against WFM Victoria Chan Wei Yi .
However he won ALL of his other games to finish an outstanding 8/9!! He finished ahead of Indonesian Kaiser Jenius Hakiki and Setiawan Iwan whom he defeated in the last 2 rounds.

This is definitely a fantastic result for Justin considering his dismall showing at Turkey World Youth where he only finished 113th out of 126 in the Under 16 category. Here’s looking for greater things to come from this young player.
