IM me

Stonemaster Fadli tried to contact me via Yahoo messenger and inadvertently sent one email to the Yahoo Group. This was seen as spam as pointed out by Thomas Voon. One of my moderators even banned Fadli’s email from the group.
I’m sure it was an honest mistake. So to avoid such things from happening again, here [...]

Mas played a relatively low rated player Shiven Kosla (2086) in the ninth round of the Dubai 2008 Open. Unfortunately he had the misfortune to lose because he missed a tactic by his opponent on the 25th move.
White has just advanced his e-pawn to harass Black’s knight on f6.

A player from the recently ended Dubai 2008 Open was caught cheating. He actually got caught while playing one of the top finishers, GM Li Chao.
M. Sadatnajafi, with an Elo rating of 2301, while playing against Chinese Grandmaster Li Chao, made his moves based on the text messages he received on his mobile phone.
