My game vs Sarawak champion Lim Kian Hwa
I had wanted to play e5 as suggested by Fritz in some of the positions but was just too cowardly to do so. Further moves were not shown as I was clearly lost in the final position.
Tough Selangor Open
This has to be the toughest Selangor Open I have ever taken part in.
Even a patzer like me met 5 rated players in 7 rounds !! With about 33 rated players out of a total of 62 I guess that is not suprising.

Ian suffers first defeat
Probably the highlight of Round 7 is Ronnie Lim beating Ian Udani. Sweet revenge for Ronnie as he lost to Ian in a recent allegro event organised by CAS.
GilaChess camera is dying
The last few days my camera has gone wonky. The LCD just turns black when I startup the camera. However, a few gentle knocks and the LCD comes on again. Lately I had to knock it harder to turn it on.

Recovering from losses
Have to apologise for the slowdown in updates. You notice that everytime I lose there will be less updates or none right after that particular round. I know I’ve said I’m playing “for fun” but we are only human. I feel really destroyed after a loss, especially those that I have chances.
