Yep. That’s Dresden, Germany. Beautiful isn’t it?
That’s where the 38th Chess Olympiad will be held.
How to get there? Why, play in the coming National Closed 2008 of course !!
As comparison, National Closed is not as attractive as the Selangor Open because there is no prize money. However every 2 years when the Olympiad is held, there will be the strongest chess players fighting it out for the chance to represent the country – prize money or not. There lies the attraction of the National Closed – a chance to go overseas to play chess for the country and also the coveted title of National Master.
So who wants to go to Dresden?
