Chess Blogging is fun!
I am very grateful that Royal Selangor Pewter provided free WiFi so that the live updates for the tournament was possible. I wish I could have had better updates such as videos and game excerpts but that was impossible since I was also playing in that tournament. With hindsight, I would definitely not play. Blogging about the event and analysing the top boards would have been more fun :). It was also good to finally meet fellow chess bloggers at the event.
Also, it was a nice experience playing 5 rated opponents in one tournament. It’s definitely worth the full RM 60 entrance fee charged for this event. Although I must say the playing experience is wasted on this patzer.
Internet connectivity is important. The next big tournament is National Closed at Wilayah Kompleks and there is no free WiFi there except at Restaurant Bruharry which is 5 minutes walk from the tournament hall. I would definitely like the same experience as I have had at Selangor Pewter - blogging live from the event.

Hi, my name is Azmi. I am not into chess but my 11 year old son is quite keen to start. I am not good at the game and I definitely do not have the time to play with him. I was thinking of buying him a computerised chess set but do not know where to look for. Have been hunting high and low for the past 1 month. Please let me know where I can find a computerised chess set.
Please get back to me at 012-6815533. TQ
(p/s : I do not want him to play from the computer at home because the computer is always being used..)
