Chess interests up
Usually GilaChess gets this sort of traffic only during the Malaysian Open/Merdeka Team championship in August. But that’s still 2 months away and we are already seeing record traffic now.
Web interest in chess is definitely growing ..

I blogged about the above being my dream blogging gadget (ASUS EEE PC 701 with Digi EDGE). Minimalistic in use and features but a great tool for chess bloggers. I hope I can afford to get the EEE PC and a new camera in time for DATMO 2008.

1st Subic Internation Open - Final Results
Finally the results from the Philippines 1st Subic International Open is out! Jason Gonzales emerged champion after his last round win vs Rolando Andador, He finishes half a point ahead of Wesley So, Yuriy Kuzobov, Eugene Torrre and Buenaventura Villamayor.
Mas finish in 10th place.

The 1st Subic International Chess online coverage is pretty bad as there isn’t even a final results posted on the official site (www.ncfphilippines.org) many days after the event is over.
