Don’t get me wrong. GilaChess.com is a portal for Malaysian Chess supporting International Chess. It’s not a variant.
In our language, gila means ‘passionate’ or ‘crazy about’ something.
So rough translation, GilaChess = Chess Maniac ( or chess nut).
