Aiyo resignlah!
One of the things I hate during my short stint as bulletin boy for the National Closed is the unnecessary long games that is played. Being the National Championship you would think that players have the courtesy to resign when they are clearly lost. What I dread is finding such games (and there are many!) because I find it such a waste of time. Here’s an example(names witheld) :-
Thankfully there are also high quality games from the top boards that make the work worth it. Also, I’m grateful that there aren’t many 100+ move “GM-like” endgames to key in. Otherwise I’ll go out of my mind
