It was a rainy morning. Woke up late as usual and reached the bus stop at 7.30. Got to Sentral train station at 7.50 sharp. Boarded the train to Seremban 10 minutes later. Haha.. this time I made sure I got in the right train. Double check by asking a KTM staff going into the train if it was to Seremban.

In the train it was still drizzling lightly

The train was pretty empty and I was already feeling sleepy. But cannot sleep otherwise god knows where I’ll end up

After an hour and 20 minutes .. the train arrived at Seremban station. I was worried I would be too late for the registration as it was almost 9.30 already.

Luckily the supermarket was main doors were still closed and none of the players have registered yet. Kamar Dani reached a few minutes later and started to take the registration.

At 10 am the doors open and we finally got in the shopping complex.

NM Kamal Abdullah seems to be showing Abdullah Che Hassan the game he played in the National Closed. If not mistaken it’s the game between him and Leong Mun Wan which he lost. I’m pretty familiar with the position as I keyed that game the night before

Abdullah Che Hassan’s father is playing too.

Had breakfast while waiting for the registration and pairing to complete. Too bad this branch of Mc D don’t have Mc D breakfast so I’m having some regular Fillet O Fish meal

What the…? They are starting already! Paring out and game to start in 5 minutes.

Started out well with 2.5 out 3. Should have lost my first game but salvaged a draw. During the lunch break I posted in the shoutbox that I would lose the rest of my games. Well, that came true

At least lunch good. Better than Kenny Rogers which is so much pricier.

Final prize winnens
I finished 13th overall but that’s nothing to shout about. I didn’t even get to meet a single strong player. Anyway will post the full results later because I did not get a softcopy from the organiser. Lazy to key in the names manually. It’ll be up tomorrow officially at GilaChess.com At least you can take a look at the cross table first.

PS: Thanks to those who bought my MalaysianBase 2008 CD. This is the first RM 50 contributed into my funds to get a new camera.
