I sat beside Encik KZ for most of the NC tournament and I know it’s a thankless job. Sure, It may look easy but it’s not. He missed his lunch on many occasions just because somebody had to be there at the tournament hall while me and Arshad went for our lunch. Besides that you have to be quick on your toes to make unexpected changes in the pairings (eg: dropouts, byes, walkovers etc). Those that are eager but new to arbitering is easy to spot. The event usually starts a few hours late because of “unexpected” events. The NC ran very smoothly thanks to Encik KZ.
