MBS Live Update
I rarely cover junior events. In fact I can only remember one junior event held at the Olympid hotel near MSSKL.remember when I ever reported from a junior event before 
So this is sort of a second tiime for me.
Currently in MBSSK Open where age groups are being contested are the U19, U15, U12 and U10.
Good to see that the tournament is already packed to it’s 200 player limit and parents with their children came waiting before the start of the tournament in case there were dropouts.
It’s now just after lunch time and the current leaders are as follows:-
Under 19
Alvin Ang of MBS leads the tournament with 3 other players. The 3 are Latifah Syamimi, Yer Chor Kuan and Saddam Al Amin all with 4 /4.
Under 15
Yeah Eng Chiam of MBS leads the tournament. He will face Latifah Kaisyah who also obtain 4 points in round 5.
Under 12
Albert Ang of MBS leads the tournament. He will play Low Hong Jin who obtain the same score 4/4.
Under 10
Top 3 seeded players Muhd Aziz, Damish Hamzah, Muhd Faizal won all their four games.
There will be 2 more rounds to played out.
The tournament is run in a pretty orderly fashion. Parents are “locked out” of the tournament hall at the start of each round and players have to leave once their games is over. The place is packed but everything is running very smoothly.
