GP3 tourney at Cochrane cancelled
Just got this SMS from the organiser that the GP3 tourney scheduled this weekend has been cancelled due to unforseen circumstances.

Mas in First Saturday
Mas is playing in the Hungary’s First Saturday GM Tournament. So far he is doing well and after 12 rounds he appears to be in sixth place.

I received this news late. A chess friend called me and told me that Celestino had passed away on May 31. A quick search on the net and Closet Grandmaster had posted this news last month. He is a Philippino National Master who has represented his country in the Olympiad.
