GilaChess team just won on Board 1 and Board 4. IM Wynn and Michael Seong delivered respectively. Now hoping for a win from either board 2 or 3..

GilaChess is seeded 15th at the beginning of the tournament. On paper it would look like we have a chance to make it to top 10 as there will be 5 teams that will take the special prizes of top 5 teams for Best Malaysian Team.

Good Samaritan
A junior boy found a USD 100 and returned it to the organisers here in the tournament. The rightful owner was found and the money returned. I guess most people would have just kept the money.

Will not be playing
Many assumed that since there is a GilaChess team, I’m also playing. But I am not.
