Strange to see a chess player put on a surgical mask for a chess game.
However I found out later it’s apparently “polite” in Japan to wear a surgical mask to reduce the chance of your friends and colleague getting a cold if one is sick.

Lim Yee Weng beats a GM!
The biggest news for Malaysia is that FM Lim Yee Weng beat GM Shilong of China in Round 8.
The win propels Lim to play on board one vs GM Li Chao which is ongoing at the time of writing.
