Strange to see a chess player put on a surgical mask for a chess game.
However I found out later it’s apparently “polite” in Japan to wear a surgical mask to reduce the chance of your friends and colleague getting a cold if one is sick.
Incidentally this player is a participant in the AmBank Challenge 2008. She also happens to be Japanese.
