First time on PlayChess.com
Well not exactly the first time. The first time was during the PC Fair Malaysia-Singapore chess event 2 years ago. But I created accounts for others to use during the fair but didn’t really play on PlayChess.com. This is the first time I registered for a free account under my own nickname :- GilaChess
My first impression is that it is totally quiet. No chat because of the rank or that I’m on a free account. A big difference is that the chess program or client does not have sounds like WCL.
Still it is unique and quite enjoyable playing there. My rating has somewhat stabilised at 1500/1300 for Blitz/Bullet. I also like the charting feature. I missed that when WCN closed down and WCL had problems implementing that feature.
I also like the flag feature so that I can the other Malaysians who are also online on PlayChess.com.
