Ian Udani. Arguably one of the strongest player in the local rapid ‘circuit’ this year. I think only Nicholas Chan is his match in rapid play. His team is also very strong. It’ll be interesting to see how Ian fares in the Malaysian Open. which he will also be taking part. One of his weaker points is long time controls as seen in his results in the Selangor Open. But Ian has been working on his longer time control games and I have no doubts he has improved. I’m predicting one or two Udani upset wins over GMs.
