Wang Li for GM norm

While attention was directed to in the beginning to Wesley SO and then Eugene Torre, this relatively unknown player, Wang Li, went unnoticed.

What’s impressive is not that he is untitled and has 5 points but that he obtained those points playing opponents listed below.

Yes, he has played 7 Grandmasters and 1 IM !! Impressive !! He even beat GM Marat and GM Megaranto along the way. Someone please tell me if that’s not a GM norm. Wang Li is only rated 2392 but his performace rating so far is 2639. He is playing IM John Paul Gomez in the final round.
