Took a different route home yesterday because I was curious to see exactly where the Venus Kids Chess Camp was held.
It’s a big double storey corner house that is converted into a day care center. They are no strangers to teaching kids. I guess it’s good to see more of such places teaching chess to beginners as we seriously need more new talents from the grassroots level.
I passed by Ikano Power Center and saw a similiar center teaching kids arts and craft. I could easily see chess fitting in nicely.

Perhaps some local coaches can recommend an introduction to chess?
In fact, I already see this happening in one of the day care centres in Taman Tun Dr Ismail. They have employed the services of a few local coaches to teach chess to the kids as part of their holiday program.
