After the Blitz the participants were treated to a Hari Raya style open house with rendang, curry chicken etc.

Nice end to an exciting but exhausting blitz sessions.

That’s my main reason for coming anyway :)

It’s only EDGE but the connection was consistent throughout. The speed is nothing to shout about but posting pictures. Of course I was only in Jln Dang Wangi,KL using the connection. Will try it later in PJ to see if it’s the same.

+ DiGi RM5 a day internet – sure or not? By GilaChess 03 October 2009 at 10:24 am and have No Comments

image I remember finishing over RM10 credit just download my emails on my handphone using DiGi prepaid once. That was expensive especially all I wanted was to read a PDF attachment. Guess the price you pay for portability.

I read somewhere on someone else’s blog that DiGi prepaid only charges the maximum of RM5 per day for internet usage via your handphones. Today I’m testing it by connecting by connecting the whole day. If it is really true then this is very convenient especially when I need to use the Internet ad-hoc outside of home. Also considered relatively cheap as you would pay minimum RM2/hour in a regular cyber cafe.

Current setup is using the Dopod 818 and connecting via bluetooth to my Asus 1000HE netbook.

Starting balance is RM 10.43. Let’s see if it’s really RM5.

So far initial checks to Speedtest.net shows the connection speed at 0.22 Mb/s which is pretty decent for web browsing and for me to do regular work on the web.

I’ll probably be posting using DiGi Prepid from today’s Hari Raya Blitz Open house at DATCC.
