Adrenaline rush

During the KL Open I could not understand why some young chess players went to a cyber cafe to play online games like DOTA in between rounds. Isn’t it better to conserve precious mental energy for the second game later in the evening?

After a session of Starcraft, I find I am alert and high on adrenaline rush. Sort of like a caffeine boost but it’s much more. I guess this artificial boost in energy is good if used on occasion. On the other extreme, I can also understand how excessive game playing like this has resulted in incidents of deaths in Korea and China.
