Don’t you just hate it when the pairing comes out and you have to squeeze in a crowd all trying to find their names on a small A4 sized paper pasted on a wall.
A projector and a notebook is much preferable way to see the pairings.
I already see this being used in DATCC and KL GP tourneys. I’m sure more organisers will pick up on. It’s small things like these that make the tournament experience that much better.

Nithyalakshmi Sivanesan(left) did well by winning all 3 of her games.
Amira Syahmina (right) held the score by drawing 3 games.
Ismail Ahmad won all his classical games and drew all his rapid games. 3/4.
NM Evan Timothy Capel won 2 games as White and lost 2 as black. 2/4. He won this game against WIM Anjela Khegay (ELO 2184)
Abdul Shukor vs IM Giam Choo Kwee. The Singaporean IM won this game and finish with a respectable 3/4 score.

Singapore ‘Ang Pow’ for players.
Senior Player Jimmy Ng who offered ‘3 figure sum’ Ang Pow bonus for Singapore Players who score three points and more. Crystal Valerie Soh, Selina Sia, Ryan Ow and Christabel Neo were the players with perfect score at Round 3.

MCF Secretary Gregory Lau dressed appropirately in his ‘tiger’ t-shirt working tirelessly in creating the strongest possible line up for each of the four rounds.
NWM Tan Li Ting vs Rachel Soh. Li Ting won this classical game.
Tan Jun Feng (right) on his way to winning Linson Lim De Dao. The former also contributed a plus score to Malaysia. (2.5/4). He was stronger in classical winning both games but drew one and loss one for the rapid rounds.
Wong Jianwen finished with a 3/4 score. Beside him is Yeap Eng Chiam who also finished 3/4.
According to SCF website:-
In the final few minutes of Round 4, with the score at 20 – 17 in favour of Singapore and one board
remaining, Osric Mooi threw in his full weight to beat Malaysia’s latest International Master – Mok Tze Meng
in a nailbiting encounter where both sides had chances, thus giving Singapore a slim 1 point margin
victory. Osric’s victory gave Singapore the match, 76.5 – 75.5.

Tan Ken Wei vs Yeap Eng Cheam ended in a draw when Yeap allowed a 3 fold repetition.
Abdullah Che Hassan got checkmated by Soon Wai Cheong

Haslindah and Roslina are 2 of the 8 members of the DATCC team that were present for today’s round. However, their opponent’s team only had one player and the results was 3.5 to 0.5 in favour of the DATCC team.
