Carabou
That’s the Philippine’s National animal - the Carabao. It’s the water buffalo. Notice the pronounciation of Carabao is similiar to the Malay equivalent - Kerbau ? The Philippines language has roots in Spanish, Malay, Indian language and a host of other languages.

Xu Tong
This should be Xu Tong’s sixth time to the Philippines but she is not doing well in the 4th Pichay Cup after having collected only half a point from 5 rounds. She doesn’t look happy in the picture either.

Zhang Jing
She lost her first two rounds to Goh Weiming and Rolando Andador but bounced back to draw with compatriat Jia Haoxiang and beat WIM Irene Sukhandar (2262) and Edgar Reggie Olay (2398).

Bus to tournament hall
When there are morning round, the games will starts 9am and the bus leaves early at 8.15 am. Many players are having last minute breakfast at the hotel lobby as late as 8am.
Still everybody gets on the bus on time.
