However, an interesting new study by American Pew report very few teen blog. Apparently the trend now shows that teens and young adults are blogging less. They prefer to be on social networking sites like Facebook. To them, blogging is for old people. That study was done in the United States. I guess it’s true in Malaysia too. Out of the many chess blogs, I can only think of Yatzchess and Danial’s blog who are teenagers (correct me if I’m wrong). One good thing is that they will be ahead of the curve in blogging when their peers will eventually go into blogging perhaps a decade later.

Sad thought though. Blogging is for old people

Seremban Parade Open Excel Chess Chinese New Year Rapid and Tun Syed Zahiruddin team tournament is set to clash..

Seremban Parade has the U12 (RM 60 – 1st prize) and U18 (RM 100 –1st prize) 27th and the Open (RM 200 – 1st prize) on the 28th.

Excel chess is starts a day earlier on 26th and 27th with 10 rounds of rapid (20min+30sec) – RM 180 for first prize.

Tun Syed Zahiruddin team tournament is on the 28th with top 3 cash prizes.

In last weekend’s First Saturday I wanted badly to play against Shamsuddin Sabri aka Firey Rook because I thought he would be easy to beat. After this game I have to think twice . Behind the nice guy demeanor lies a fierce attacking player!
