Offline for a while
I got a virus from sharing USB thumbdrives from various people who wanted something from my notebook during the DATMO. Tried to scan using the latest AVG and cleaned most of the spyware/virusses.
However there are signs of one or more viruses present in my harddisk. I tried to work on the notebook but there are now irritating popups and slowdowns. I wasted my time with a complete reinstall of Windows and that did not solve the problem.
The only solution is to completely format the computer. Have to backup a year’s worth of data to DVDs
