Record traffic again

Chess has never been more popular. At least judging from online interest anyway.

I have to admit that coverage for the National Closed from me was crappy and minimal at best. Trying to complete the bulletins before the final round certainly was too time consuming.

Barely got out the pairings and results out within the day. Even so, the interest in the National Championship event is phoenomenal. 500 visitors is the highest I’ve ever seen on my sitemeter stats. Looking at the traffic it makes me feel more guilty for not putting more effort in updating the results. Anyway, lots of things learnt from the live event and I will keep improving my model website template. You can take a look at the 2008 National Closed “unnoficial” tournament webswite at nc08.gilachess.com. With Malaysian online chess on a record high, I recommend local would-be-bloggers to start a chess blog and talk about chess. I’ll even give you a free promo if you send me the URL.
