Guest_3701 : 2 player play individu, 4 player player separate team event is fairest. nobody points score double. also more ineteresting. team manager must see who play indi & team. and in team see who player play what board number. must think team strategy.

Guest_3701 : dulu kl & sgor strong player points count double. one time for individu, another time for team. alredi not fair for other team. now even worse for other team.
Guest_3701 : other state got trouble to get 4 strong player, now got to find 6 to challen team gold. unfair lah. yg kaya jadi lagi kaya. yg miskin kena seksa teruk lagi.
Guest_3701 : from the mssmlaw at the msspp site, look like same system as previous yrs, only now 6 players intead of 4. all 6 play individu, indi points jumlah to get team score. like this bebefir only kl & selangor, they got so many strong players. surely smaller states got zero chance in team event.

EdwardLee : aiyo .. the new system just wan to encourage the smaller states to have a chance .. since for example if they use the old format .. we know for sure more or less who will win what placing already .. therefore the smaller states dont have much chance .. but in this new format .. the better players will play individual(usual ly) .. then smaller states will field their best players in team and hope for the best
Guest_2788 : sorry, just one last thing, i've found a website which touched on chess rules in MSSM here «link» it says that the players are to be in individual category as well as group category. this is the way it should be!

Guest_2788 : just why can't they continue with the old system of putting every players in the individual category and then take into account of group standings after the competition? this is the most logical way to carry out a chess event.

Guest_2788 : plus, how if there's a person in the group who did very well and could have won a meal if only he was in the individual category, but other teammates didn't fare that well and pulled the whole group performance down?
